**Overview** When excavating unstable ground such as loose soil or poor-quality rock (like fractured zones), there is a risk of the face becoming unstable and collapsing. This is believed to be caused by insufficient strength of the ground, posing dangers not only to workers but also potentially causing significant impacts to third parties, such as surface subsidence. The advanced ground subsidence gauge installs measuring instruments within long steel pipe supports to measure subsidence in front of the face at 50 cm intervals, continuously monitoring shear strain and pre-displacement of the ground, which are precursors to collapse. It detects face collapse through real-time, high-precision measurements and is equipped with an alarm system. **Features** The SAA is very slim and has flexible joints, making it easy to insert into long steel pipe supports for displacement measurement. By using a dedicated measurement guide pipe installed within the steel pipe during insertion, it allows for repeated use, thereby reducing measurement costs. The "GEH-250S" is a ground subsidence gauge that can measure subsidence (uplift) of up to 250mm with high precision of less than 0.1mm, allowing for long-term stable measurements. It measures the relative displacement between the pipe of the observation well at a fixed point and the surrounding ground. Additionally, because it uses a non-contact magnetic sensor, it can measure even in outdoor environments exposed to wind and rain, as well as in high-humidity underground pits. The "SDVP-100LA, SDVP-100LB" is a communicating pipe type settlement gauge that utilizes the principle of "water leveling." By connecting a reference device (water tank) installed at a fixed point on a horizontal plane outside the influence range of construction with a settlement gauge installed at the measurement target (or measurement point) via a communicating pipe (hose), it detects minute pressure changes caused by the difference in water levels between the reference water surface and the water surface of the settlement gauge using a differential transformer.
